Legend of Zelda broke the price record for video games.
In Dallas, USA, an unopened game Legend of Zelda of 1987 was sold at Heritage Auctions for $ 870,000.
It is stated that a rare version, released in a limited edition for several months, was put up for auction.
The purchase price of Legend of Zelda broke the video game record set in April. Then an unopened copy of the Super Mario Bros. game was sold at Heritage Auctions for $ 660,000. This copy was bought in 1986 and forgotten in a drawer.
Previously Super Mario Bros. also bought for a record price – in 2020, a cartridge for Nintendo was purchased at an auction for $ 114,000.
