On July 30, Ukraine sent 2 AN-35P aircraft and rescuers to Turkey to fight the fire element. For 3 days, our specialists dumped 488 tons of water on the fire.
Turkish President Recep Erdogan thanked Zelensky for his help in difficult times.
What is known about the fires in Greece
- The fire broke out on 31 July at 46 fire sites near the city of Patras. Rescuers from all over the country were involved in the fight.
- It is known that as a result of the fire 16 people were injured. They were taken to the hospital with breathing problems.
- On August 3, an abnormal heat was recorded in the country. In some regions, the air temperature rose to +46 degrees.
