Lukashenko spoke about the treatment of illegal migrants in Lithuania

According to him, migrant families collect money for them to survive, and in Lithuania they are taken away. Lithuania has recently announced an increase in the number of detained illegal migrants on the border with Belarus, in this regard, the country's authorities declared an extreme situation on July 2. According to the latest data, more than 4 thousand illegal migrants have been detained in Lithuania on the border with Belarus since the beginning of the year. In turn, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Minsk will no longer restrain illegal migrants to the EU countries — because of the West's sanctions, there is «neither money nor strength for this.» Poland and Lithuania «ordered» Protasevich, Lukashenko saidLately the situation on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border has worsened. The border guards of Belarus have repeatedly stated about the forcible expulsion of migrants by Lithuania to the adjacent territory. However, many of them, mostly Iraqi citizens, were injured. On August 4, the official representative of the State Border Committee of Belarus, Anton Bychkovsky, told RIA Novosti that at night a migrant from Iraq was found on the border with Lithuania. He was in serious physical condition and subsequently died. Investigative Committee of Belarus opened a criminal case under article «murder». After that, on behalf of Lukashenka, the security of the state border was strengthened. Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, in connection with Minsk's statement about the death of a migrant from Iraq, argued that none of the illegal immigrants in Lithuania was injured or shot at anyone.
