SOLNECHNOGORSK, 11 Aug Human Rights Ombudsman in Russia Tatyana Moskalkova said that there are few cases of appeals to her office regarding dismissal due to refusal to be vaccinated against COVID-19. A number of Russian regions have introduced compulsory vaccination against coronavirus for certain categories of citizens by the decision of their chief state sanitary doctors.
The Federation Council noted the importance of vaccination of teachers «There were appeals related to the deprivation of people's awards to the regional commissioners. We were connected and, following a number of appeals, violated rights were restored,» Moskalkova told reporters. Answering the question whether it can be said that the cases of applications for dismissal due to refusal to be vaccinated against COVID-19 are rare, Moskalkova said: “These are single appeals.” According to the Ombudsman, in matters of vaccination against COVID-19, the population needs to be stimulated, and do not intimidate.
Aksyonov called the information disseminated by opponents of vaccination heresy «I had the KoviVac vaccinations, I had a coronavirus and I am convinced that the vaccine softened this blow, so it seems to me that if there are no contraindications, then (vaccination — ed.) — very good», she added.
