Chest pain
This is a classic sign of a heart attack, but many people ignore it. If you are experiencing chest pain, you should dial the ambulance number, especially if you are feeling very unwell.
People who have had a heart attack described the symptoms as heaviness, tightness, or pressure in the chest. If chest pains start when you exert yourself but go away when you stop, this may still be cause for concern. This may indicate angina pectoris, usually caused by coronary artery disease.
Sweating
This is a more unusual symptom and may indicate heart disease. If you feel hot and sticky with chest pains, you should call an ambulance. This could be a sign of an impending heart attack.
Jaw or back pain
With a heart attack, pain may be felt in other parts of the body. The pain can even be felt in the jaw or back if it persists.
Some studies say that female symptoms are more likely to differ from «classic» chest pain.
