The ceremony of laying flowers at the Mother Motherland monument was held at the Piskarevskoye cemetery in St. Petersburg in memory of the victims of the blockade of Leningrad, RIA Novosti reports. Flowers to the monument were brought by the plenipotentiary in the North-West Federal District Alexander Gutsan, the governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov, the speaker of the city's legislative assembly Vyacheslav Makarov, city deputies, members of the government and public organizations, judges of the Constitutional Court, officers and cadets of military schools.
