The tit is something real. Something that sometimes may end up in our hands after the departure of the cranes promised to the people before the elections.
Fulfillment of pre-election and any other promises is so rare in our country that it should acquire some kind of solemn attributes — for example, when announcing a fulfilled promise, as when singing a hymn, one should get up.
Failure to keep promises is traditionally accompanied by ridicule and even anecdotes. Perhaps the most remarkable joke on this topic was born in the Soviet era: «Instead of the communism promised by 1980, the USSR hosted the Olympic Games.» And now, when they started talking in Moscow about their intentions to hold the Olympics in Russia in 2036, and the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that Kazan is ready to host the best athletes in the world and fans from all over the world,
I just want to ask: what is this instead of what?
By 2036, we have already been promised a lot. Flocks of cranes circling and chirping over the roof of the Ministry of Economic Development. According to the forecast of nothing to themselves and to us not refusing financial analysts, compiled three years ago, by 2036 our economy will grow 1.7 times and the income of the population will grow almost as confidently. Thank you, of course, but we have heard such predictions more than once. And it’s also good if in return we get Olympias, and not the asteroid Apophis, this hefty block of stone that some aliens shot from a slingshot into the Earth. According to the calculations of some educated people (with whom, fortunately, other educated people disagree), Apophis will blow our planet just in 2036. And if he still does not miss and the end of the world comes, then this will greatly distract Russians from control over the implementation of government promises.
However, citizens usually do not control these promises. What do you remember from the promised, but not fulfilled by «United Russia»? And if someone does remember, then, although with a violation of logic, they will explain quite clearly that the whole point is in the mismatch of terms: they are waiting for the promised in our country for three years, and the Duma is elected for five years.
