MOSCOW, 14 Sep. The cherished dreams of many Russians are associated with good health for themselves and loved ones and home comfort, follows from the results of a survey published on the VTsIOM website. Most often, Russians stated that they dream of good health for themselves and their loved ones (10%).
Russians named the best countries to live in. Also, respondents dream of an apartment, a house or an improvement in living conditions (8%), travel (4%), moving, including from the country (3%), world peace (3%), longevity ( 2%), prosperity and stability for Russia (2%), meeting a loved one (2%). At the same time, 12% of respondents admitted that they do not have a dream, and 13% of respondents found it difficult to answer. The fact that the fulfillment of a dream depends on their own efforts, 49% of the Russians surveyed are sure. It is noteworthy that over the past two years, Russians have begun to believe in their own strengths: in 2019, this opinion was held by 45% of respondents. 37% of respondents said that a dream comes true thanks to a lucky coincidence of circumstances or help from other people, and 14% found it difficult to answer this question.
The poll showed that Russians believe myths on the Internet more than doctors. To make a dream come true, Russians most often make a wish for the New Year (19%), think about their wish as if it had already come true (6%) and visualize their wishes (4%). The initiative all-Russian poll «VTsIOM-Sputnik» was conducted on September 2, 2021. It was attended by 1,600 Russians aged 18 and over. The survey method is a telephone interview based on a stratified two-base random sample of stationary and mobile numbers. For this sample, the maximum error size with a 95% probability does not exceed 2.5%.
