MOSCOW, 15 Sep. Polish MEP Jacek Sariusz-Wolski said that the country's residents were allegedly deceived by German Chancellor Angela Merkel to implement the Nord Stream 2 project. In an interview with Gazeta Polska Codziennie, he said that he was personally offended by Berlin's decision after the completion of the pipeline construction. Lavrov assessed the prospects of launching Nord Stream 2. Sariusz-Wolski was also outraged because Germany's policy towards Russia was not coordinated with Poland. Warsaw was initially skeptical about Nord Stream 2, some Polish politicians still call the project is political and urge to close it. Moscow and Berlin have repeatedly stressed that the gas pipeline was built exclusively for commercial interests and that it is beneficial to both Russia and the European Union. The construction of Nord Stream 2 has now been completed, but a number of technical and legal measures must be completed before its launch. Kiev threatened Europe with loss of gas transit through Ukraine
