The court arrested two migrants, who are accused of rape and murder of a pensioner near Sergiev Posad, said Olga Vradiy, senior assistant to the head of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee. The investigator asked for such a measure of restraint. The figurants of the case have already been interrogated, they have taken biological samples. As part of the investigation, forensic medical, genetic, fingerprint and psychological and psychiatric examinations will be carried out. «The investigation will, without fail, verify the legality of the presence of the accused in Russia, and will also give a legal assessment of the actions or inaction of officials who control the order of stay of foreign citizens.» — concluded Vradiy.

On Monday, the body of a 67-year-old woman was found in a forest near Sergiev Posad. She was raped and killed. In hot pursuit, two citizens of Tajikistan were detained. The suspects worked on the construction of a private house in the Priozernoe gardening partnership, where they lived. After the emergency, up to 300 residents of the Buzhaninovo village came out and demanded to close the hostel where migrant workers, workers of one of the enterprises lived. The building was taken under guard and all residents were taken out on buses. As the local authorities clarified, the pensioners accused of murdering had nothing to do with this hostel and the company that arranged it.
