MOSCOW, 15 Sep. The sister of the Russian citizen Alexander Franchetti, detained in Prague, wrote an appeal to Vladimir Putin. According to the RT TV channel, she asks the President of Russia to help return her brother to his homeland. At the end of last week he was detained at the airport in Prague on an international warrant from Ukraine. According to media reports, Kiev considers Franchetti one of the participants in the events of the Crimean Spring, but no one officially announced that he was being charged. Now he is being held in a pre-trial detention cell by a local court. The lawyer intends to appeal to the country's Supreme Court. Crimea commented on the detention of a participant in the «Crimean Spring» by the Czech Republic Earlier, the Russian embassy in the Czech Republic sent a note to the country's Foreign Ministry demanding detailed information on the motives of the authorities' actions, as well as informing what Franchetti is accused of. The UK also sent inquiries to Prague. The representative of the Prague prosecutor's office, Aleš Tsimbala, said that Kiev had already requested the extradition of the Russian. The decision will be made by the city court of the Czech capital, but before that the investigation will find out if there are any obstacles to the transfer of Franchetti to Ukraine.
