Launched from the Cape Canaveral Cosmodrome, Florida, the Falcon 9 rocket launches the Crew Dragon into orbit with the first ever non-professional crew on board, SpaceX broadcasts the launch live from the Cape Canaveral Cosmodrome at 20.03. US East Coast time on Wednesday (3.03 GMT Thursday). For the first time in history, a completely non-professional crew of space tourists is sent into orbit. Aboard the four-member crew — Jared Isaacman, a businessman and flight sponsor, Sian Proctor, a researcher, Hayley Arsenox, a medic, and Christopher Sembrosky — veteran of the United States Air Force, the ship is scheduled to spend three days in low-Earth orbit before returning to Earth. During the flight, non-professional astronauts are expected to conduct scientific experiments in zero gravity. Called Inspiration4, the mission is charitable and aims to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, specializing in childhood cancers. One of the crew members, 29-year-old Arsenox, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the left leg at the age of 10, after which Arsenox underwent 12 cycles of chemotherapy and several operations to remove the knee and part of the femur. In the crew, Arsenox, who has become the youngest American woman in space today, took a place tentatively called «Hope». The rest of the seats on board the ship are named Leadership, Generosity and Prosperity. SpaceX launches Falcon 9 rocket with Starlink satellites
