Most often, Ukrainians are looking for VAZ on the Internet for sale, purchase or rent.
Ukrainian car fans are quite conservative, tastes are predictable, but there are interesting changes. For example, the demand for electric cars has doubled this year, and the «badges» from Europe are gradually being replaced by «cue balls» from the United States, reports with reference to.
These are the conclusions reached by analysts from a digital consulting agency who conducted a study of the online car market in Ukraine. According to him, most often Ukrainians search the Internet for VAZ for sale, purchase or lease — more than 440 thousand times a month or 5.3 million times a year.
As for the information demand, Volkswagen is the leader among the brands. Judging by the statistics, this car is the dream of the majority of Ukrainian people, it is this car that is most often looked for without the prefix «buy» or «sell». VW is searched for about 1.4 million times a month, or 17.4 million times a year.
Renault has been holding the third place in the statistics of commercial demand for several years, but there is a possibility that it will be squeezed out. In terms of the growth rate of commercial demand in the summer of 2021, Toyota was in the lead (+ 50%).
Interest in electric cars doubled
This year, the number of electric cars has doubled compared to 2018. There are all prerequisites for an increase in demand for this type of car in the future.
Ukrainians search for electric cars on the Internet on average 511 thousand times a month (6.1 million times a year). This is 1.3% of the total demand in the online car market.
The most popular electric car among Ukrainian is Tesla. On average, this brand is searched on Google more than 275 thousand times a month, or 3.3 million times a year. At the same time, the share of requests with the intention to buy on Tesla is above the market average — 18.6% (more than 51 thousand requests per month or 612 thousand — per year).
The second most popular electric car brand is BMW. Since 2018, the amount of demand for BMW electric cars has increased by 116% (from 31 to 67 thousand requests per month).
However, the fastest growing electric car brand is Porsche. The demand for it has grown by 1250% in three years (from 1.7 thousand requests to 24 thousand requests per month).
Cars from the United States overtook the popularity of «Euroblocks»
The demand for cars from the United States has grown by 33% in three years (from 89 thousand requests per month to 119 thousand). At the same time, growth peaked in April-May 2020. At the same time, there was a decline in interest in cars from Lithuania, Poland and Germany.
In general, the interest in cars in the USA, Lithuania, Poland and Germany accounts for almost half of all demand with the mention of countries (48.2% — an average of 433 thousand requests per month).
At the same time, the most popular cars are invariably from Ukraine: they are searched on Google more than 320 thousand times a month. For three years this type of demand has grown by 6% (from 272.5 thousand to 288 thousand requests per month).
