WASHINGTON, 16 Sep. The authorities of the United States, Great Britain and Australia will soon announce the creation of a new trilateral format of the security partnership, which will be called AUKUS, a senior US administration official told reporters.
«The United States, Britain and Australia will announce a new trilateral security partnership between the three countries for the Indo-Pacific region, which will be called AUKUS,» the official said.
Earlier, the Politico newspaper reported that the three countries reached an agreement on a new format of cooperation, which is designed to facilitate the exchange of advanced military technologies. It is expected to be announced on Wednesday evening.
