Film actor, People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR Shukhrat Irgashev died at the age of 77, filmmaker Ulugbek Yuldashev said on Friday. «Dear friends, colleagues and movie fans, People's Artist of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Ibragimovich Irgashev is no longer with us. I express sincere condolences to the family and friends of Shukhrat Ibragimovich, «Yuldashev wrote on his Facebook page. Irgashev was born in Tashkent on June 19, 1945. In 1968 he graduated from the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute named after A. N. Ostrovsky, then he was enrolled in the troupe of the Tashkent Russian Drama named after Maxim Gorky. He made his film debut in 1966 in the film «Tenderness» by the Uzbek director Elyor Ishmukhamedov. In 1989, he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR. During his creative career, Irgashev starred in more than a hundred films of Soviet and Russian production. In recent years, he has participated in the jury of a number of film festivals in Russia.
