UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres announced that he plans to hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the high-level week of the UN General Assembly session. The high-level week of the UN General Assembly session will be held from 21 to 27 September.
The UN Secretary General named the date of the meeting with Biden «I will meet with Foreign Minister Lavrov one of the days of the week — I cannot say for sure now (what day — ed.), But it has already been included in my program,» Guterres said in Interview with RIA Novosti. Lavrov will lead the Russian delegation — he is expected to speak at the general debate of high-level week on September 25. At the moment, it is planned that he will take part in the session in person, and will also hold a number of bilateral meetings with foreign partners on the margins.
