«On September 16, a resident of Tomsk addressed the Tomsk branch of the Russian Geographical Society, concerned that the members of the expedition — her son and ex-husband — did not get in touch with September 11. The last time they contacted was on Saturday evening, when the members of the expedition reported that they were in the village in 350 kilometers from the village of Bely Yar (Verkhneketsky district of the Tomsk region). The branch of the Russian Geographical Society established communication with all settlements on the route of the expedition and found out that the last time she was seen in the area of the village of Krivlyak, Yenisei District, Krasnoyarsk Territory. The head of the administration of the Krivlyaksky village council Olga Gobozova told the Russian Geographical Society that in the morning of September 11 the expedition entered the village, and in the evening of the same day the driver of the timber carrier saw the expedition near the village of Mayskoye, not far from Lake Svetlenkoye in the same Yenisei region. The purpose of the expedition was to search for artifacts dating back to the time of the development of these places by Russian pioneers at the beginning of the 17th century, to study the possible reasons for the transfer of the Ket fortress, a medieval Russian city. The planned route: Krasnoyarsk — Yeniseisk — Yartsevo — Krivlyak — Factory Sym — Lake Opolchum — Lake Burgunkuy — Central — Klyukvinka — Tomsk.
