TEL-AVIV, 17 sep. Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid said that he will visit Bahrain at the end of September, he will be the first Israeli minister to visit this country. «I look forward to the end of the month, I am going to visit Bahrain. This will be the first visit of an Israeli minister to this country.» Lapid said during a virtual conference hosted by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to mark the anniversary of the Abrahamic Accords to establish diplomatic relations between the Jewish state with the UAE and Bahrain. Several Arab countries last year agreed to normalize relations with Israel through the mediation of then US President Donald Trump. The signing of agreements between Israel, the UAE and Bahrain took place on September 15, 2020 at the White House, a decision was made to open embassies, direct air communication was established between the countries, visits of government members began, and tourist trips were launched.
