MOSCOW, 18 Sep. At least 10 police officers were injured in clashes with protesters against lockdowns due to coronavirus in the city of Melbourne, Australia's Victoria state, 235 people were detained, according to TV channel 9News. More than two thousand police officers were involved in the city center to end the protests. 193 people were detained for violating coronavirus restrictions, the rest for other offenses, in particular the alleged assault on police officers. According to the Age newspaper, on the outskirts of Melbourne in Richmond, police used pepper spray as protesters broke through the police line. The Canberra Times reports that some 500-700 protesters have gathered in Richmond.
