The court in St. Petersburg sent the defendant to the pre-trial detention center in the case of persuading to participate in rallies via Telegram channels

The Leninsky District Court of St. Petersburg arrested for two months Vyacheslav Abramov, a defendant in the case of persuading to rallies (part 1.1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code) via telegram channels. This was reported by the united press service of city courts.

According to the investigation, in a closed chat Abramov discussed with like-minded people the ways of influencing the audience, which could «make her want to participate in the riots.» The department claims that the accused was one of the founders of the Chto Delat channel, in which subscribers are encouraged to participate in the protests.

Abramov pleaded guilty, the press service said.

Earlier today, a court in Moscow arrested Dmitry Chebanov, his wife Zhanna Chernov, their associate Nikita Kreshchuk and Alexei Kurlov in the same case. Former campaign staff member Anastasia Bryukhanova and HSE student Maria Platonova were placed under house arrest.

As the press service of the Investigative Committee wrote, they «posted publications and conducted campaigning activities aimed at organizing riots during the days of a single vote.»

A resident of Krasnoyarsk Aleksey Yanochkin was also detained in the case.
