S.-PETERSBURG, 18 Sep. The turnout in the elections to the State Duma in the Pskov region at 20.00 on the second day of voting was 28.18%, the regional election commission reported. The report notes that the turnout in the elections of deputies of the Pskov Regional Assembly was 27.25%, and in the elections of the two heads of districts of the Kuninsky and Novosokolniki districts — 39.08 and 29.18 percent, respectively. Voting in the Duma and other elections takes place in this year from 17 to 19 September. The State Duma is elected for a five-year term under a mixed electoral system: 225 deputies are elected from party lists, another 225 — from single-mandate constituencies in one round.
