MOSCOW, Nov 19 The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has disqualified Russian tennis player Teimuraz Gabashvili for 20 months for violation of anti-doping rules, according to the website of the organization. The doping test of the 36-year-old Russian, passed at the Challenger series tournament in Almaty in mid-June, tested positive for furosemide. The period of disqualification starts on November 18, 2021, it will end on July 17, 2023. It is noted that Gabashvili agreed to the punishment. Gabashvili is ranked 270th in the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (APR), his highest position in the ranking is 43rd place (2016). The Russian has no titles won at tournaments under the auspices of the Asia-Pacific Region.
