Pushkov responded to intimidation from Ukraine

MOSCOW, Dec 6 Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov reacted to the statement by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexei Reznikov about “millions” of refugees in the event of an “invasion” of Russia, calling it an attempt to intimidate the West. Reznikov made his statement in an article for the American media. According to him, in the event of a full-scale conflict, “three to five million refugees” will rush into Europe, which will become a “major problem” for the European Union. “They are scared in NATO capitals, but they do not intend to fight for Ukraine. Alliance Secretary General (Jens – ed.) Stoltenberg made it clear, “the parliamentarian wrote on his Telegram channel. NATO has no obligation to defend Ukraine, Pushkov stressed. Therefore, the parliamentarian believes, Ukraine is trying to intimidate the West, since official Kiev “clearly lacks other arguments.” Earlier, several Western publications at once published “plans of attack” of Russia on Ukraine. Prior to that, foreign media and politicians expressed concern about the alleged buildup of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine and the impending “attack.” Moscow has repeatedly stressed that it has no aggressive intentions. Sergei Naryshkin, director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, noted that no invasion of the neighboring republic is planned. He described such reports as malicious propaganda by the United States.
