Levada: 76% of Russians are negative about the introduction of QR codes on public transport

The absolute majority (76%) of Russians have a negative attitude to the introduction of QR codes for travel in public transport, follows from the data of the Levada Center * (available at the disposal of Novaya Gazeta). At the same time, 21% are generally positive about this idea.

More than half of the respondents (67%) are negative about the introduction of QR codes for visiting restaurants, museums, shopping centers and public events, 30% of Levada- center “rather approve of this idea.

Slightly more than half of Russians (51%) believe that mass protests against the introduction of electronic passes are unlikely, but 43% still consider them possible. A quarter (25%) of the respondents said that they would be ready to take part in such speeches if they take place in the settlement where the respondent lives. More than two thirds (72%) of Russians answered that they are unlikely to go for such promotions.

At the same time, more than half of the respondents (54%) do not support the idea of ​​universal compulsory vaccination against coronavirus, 42% are not against this initiatives.

Among the opponents of compulsory vaccination against coronavirus, the prevailing opinion is that vaccination should be voluntary and that this is everyone's personal business (37% of those who do not support compulsory vaccination). Also, 21% of this group do not trust the vaccine, because, in their opinion, it is “new, unexplored”; 15% believe that the vaccine does not work and that it “will not work.” Only 2% of those surveyed said they were against compulsory vaccination, as it is a “conspiracy, genocide, chipping.”

In general, more than half (53%) of Russians are not afraid of contracting coronavirus, 45% are afraid … This ratio has remained almost unchanged over the past months. The number of Russians vaccinated against coronavirus continues to grow and at the end of November reached 46%, the share of those who are not ready to get vaccinated dropped to 36%, according to the data of the sociological center.
