MOSCOW, Dec 13 The Kremlin hopes that nothing will prevent the Russian Federation from continuing to perform flawlessly his obligations under gas contracts, the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov told reporters, commenting on the words of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko about the possible blockage of gas transit to Europe. Lukashenko said earlier that the republic could cut off gas transit to Europe if Western sanctions put Minsk in situation and there will be no other way out to answer this. “We still want to hope that nothing will prevent the Russian Federation from continuing to flawlessly fulfill its obligations under existing contracts,” said Peskov, answering the question of how the Kremlin treats the statements Lukashenko on cutting off gas in case of worsening economic situation in Belarus.
