In Moscow, at the age of 77, director and screenwriter Sergei Soloviev died. TASS reports this.

The cause of death was not specified. Soloviev died at home.

Among his cult films – “Assa” (1987), “The Black Rose is an emblem of sadness, a blushing rose is an emblem of love” (1989), “One Hundred Days After Childhood” (1975 ) other. In the 2000s, Solovyov directed Assu-2 and Anna Karenina.

The director worked closely with Alexander Bashirov, Alexander Abdulov, Alexander Zbruev and other actors.

The musical component of the films Solovyov made the director an important part of the Soviet rock scene – Viktor Tsoi played in “Asse” and the music of “Kino”, “Bravo”, “Aquarium” and underground Soviet groups sounded.

Soloviev was born in 1944 in Karelia and until the age of six he lived in North Korea, where his father served. Since childhood, he worked in the theater, in the 1960s he worked as a technical employee at the Leningrad television, and later graduated from the directing department of the All-Russian State Institute of Civil Engineering.
