The court fined the photographer Georgy Malts for working at the rally of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation after the elections to the State Duma

The Nagatinsky District Court of Moscow fined photographer Georgy Malts 10 thousand rubles for his work at a Communist Party rally. He himself announced this on Twitter, the case card is on the court's website.

Malts was found guilty of participating in the rally (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). According to the police, at the meeting with the deputies, the photographer chanted “freedom of elections, unfair elections.” The photographer himself emphasized that he was carrying out the editorial task of the channel Present time .

“The press card and the editorial assignment, of course, were. And even the producer came to the court and told that I worked at the rally, ”wrote Malets.

The day after the elections to the State Duma, September 20, the Communist Party held a rally on Pushkin Square in Moscow. The party refused to acknowledge the outcome of online voting in the capital. The rally itself was peaceful, but after a few days the police began to detain the protesters.
