KHL postponed eight matches due to the Beijing Olympics


MOSCOW, Dec 31 Eight matches of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular championship moved from January 21 to January 15, according to the league's official website. The changes in the calendar are related to the postponement of the Week of Hockey Stars in Chelyabinsk from 2022 to 2023, as well as the need for an in-depth medical examination for candidates for the Russian national team and in order to fulfill mandatory anti-infectious measures before the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. List of rescheduled matches: Avtomobilist (Yekaterinburg) – Dynamo (Moscow); Metallurg (Magnitogorsk) – Dynamo (Riga); Salavat Yulaev (Ufa) – ” Barys (Kazakhstan); Traktor (Chelyabinsk) – Torpedo (Nizhny Novgorod); Avangard (Omsk) – Severstal (Cherepovets); Kunlun Red Star (China) – Ak Bars (Kazan ); Lokomotiv (Yaroslavl) – SKA (St. Petersburg); CSKA (Moscow) – Spartak (Moscow). Winter Olympic Games will be held in Beijing from 4 to 20 February 2022.
