Mobile operators have started to raise prices for Internet and mobile communications since the beginning of the month.
Since the beginning of December, domestic mobile operators have begun to change the price of mobile and Internet services. All users of Kyivstar, Vodafone and lifecell will enter 2022 with updated tariff plans and services, Chronicle.info reports with reference to htua24ua.net.
Kyivstar
The Smart tariff plan is popularized in Kyivstar, it is it that will change significantly from the beginning of the new year. Its price will increase by 50 hryvnia, for which users will receive an additional 80 minutes for calls to other networks, which can also be used for calls abroad to popular destinations (Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Russia), and an increased volume of megabytes for access to Internet.
In addition, new users can no longer connect to the Smart line (Smart +, Smart Max, Smart Business, Smart Business ++). For old users, changes will be made to the tariff plan, according to the information on the Kyivstar website.
The changes will also affect users of the operator's business services.
“For all users of the service, on average, the cost of a minute of a forwarded call from 0-800 number increases by 10%, which has not changed for more than seven years. The changes will affect the cost of the SMS distribution service of the Commercial Contact Center (averaged by 40%) and the SMS distribution service: the cost of 1 SMS will be UAH 0.55. For customers who switch to the Commercial Contact Center, delivery of 1 SMS will cost UAH 0.50 «- Kyivstar informs.
Vodafone
Vodafone announced an increase in prices for its services back in November, and during December, users have already seen the first changes.
In particular, the price of the monthly package of the Vodafone 4G Smart XS tariff will increase by more than 20% — subscribers will pay UAH 55 per month instead of UAH 45.
The price for international calls has also increased:
- UAH 20 for 20 minutes a day — for calls to any of 17 countries (Greece, Israel, India, Spain, Canada, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, Great Britain, USA, Hungary, France, Czech Republic and Sweden) ;
- 25 UAH for 5 minutes a day — for calls to any of 19 countries (Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Vatican, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Cyprus, Malta, Nigeria, Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Croatia, Switzerland);
- 25 UAH per minute per day — for calls to countries that are not included in the indicated tariffs.
The cost of SMS-messages abroad will increase by one hryvnia. It will be possible to send a text message for three hryvnia:
- 10 minutes for 10 hryvnia for calls to any of 48 countries of the world;
- 5 hryvnia for 1 minute for calls to other countries .
Lifecell
Lifecell users were also extended the price increase for the operator's services and during the month there were gradual changes.
Due to the expiration promotions «Ukrainians-Together!» a call for every 3 minutes of an incoming international call in the International Communication service.
From December 8, the cost of a package of services for new subscribers of the 4G Home Internet tariff plan is UAH 150 per month. For subscribers who connected before December 8 — the cost of the tariff plan remains unchanged.
