MOSCOW, 4 Jan. SKA St. Petersburg beat Beijing Kunlun Red Star in match of the regular championship of the Continental Hockey League (KHL). The meeting, which took place in Mytishchi near Moscow, where the Chinese club is based, ended with a score of 5: 1 (3: 0, 0: 1, 2: 0) in favor of the guests. As part of the winners, Leo Komarov scored a double (8th and 50th minutes), Emil Galimov (9), Mat Robinson (15) and Anton Burdasov (55) also scored goals. Alex Rich (35) scored against the hosts. Roman Rotenberg was appointed head coach of SKA on Tuesday. Valery Bragin, who has led the team since June 2020, will work as a senior coach. The decision was made «in order to improve the management of the headquarters and the team.» Rotenberg also holds the positions of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, Vice President and CEO at SKA.
