MOSCOW, Jan 6 South African Henk Lategan won the fifth stage of the rally-raid » Dakar «, which takes place on the territory of Saudi Arabia, in the off-road category. A racer driving a Toyota car covered a special stage with a length of 395 km in 3 hours 53 minutes 28 seconds. The second time was shown by the Frenchman Sebastian Loeb from BRX (1 minute 58 seconds behind), the third — by the Argentinean Lucio Alvarez (Toyota, +2.10). Spaniard Carlos Sainz Sr. lost over an hour in Audi. Qatar's Nasser al-Attiyah (Toyota) is in the lead in the overall off-road standings, followed by Loeb (+35.10) and Lucio Alvarez (+51.15).
