All European skaters will be tested for COVID-19 every 24 hours

MOSCOW, January 7, Andrey Simonenko. All participants of the European Figure Skating Championship in Tallinn, including journalists, will be tested for coronavirus every 24 hours, according to a release from the International Skating Union (ISU) and the organizing committee of the competition. The European Championships will be held in Tallinn on January 12-16. The Russian national team will be represented by the maximum number of participants — three quotas in each discipline. The release states that accreditation for the tournament will be valid only with a rapid test for antigen to coronavirus, which must be performed every 24 hours. In case of a positive result, a second express test will be made, as well as a PCR test, until the result of which the participant must be in quarantine. If the PCR test also turns out to be positive, the infected person will be quarantined for a minimum period of 10 days and a maximum period of 14 (or until the symptoms disappear). The same measures will apply to participants in the Championship of the Four Continents, which will be held in Tallinn on January 19-23.
