Earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO), following an emergency meeting, decided to classify a new variant of the coronavirus discovered in South Africa as causing concern. The new strain — B.1.1.529 — WHO called the Greek letter «omicron.» claim that omicron is more dangerous than delta, existing vaccines continue to be effective, WHO said in a statement.
