BERLIN, Jan 7 NATO countries have agreed on the upcoming formats of dialogue with Russia, the German Foreign Minister said Annalena Berbock. «We coordinated the upcoming formats of dialogue with Russia at the meeting of NATO foreign ministers and prepared for the NATO-Russia Council,» Berbock wrote on Twitter. According to the minister, the dialogue should be based on key principles of the European security order. Next week Russia and the United States will hold another round of dialogue on strategic stability in Geneva, followed by a meeting of the NATO-Russia Council in Brussels, and consultations in Vienna at the platform of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. At the end of 2021, Russia published draft treaty with the United States and agreements with NATO on security assurances. Moscow, in particular, demands from its Western partners legal guarantees against further expansion of NATO to the east, from joining the Ukrainian bloc and from creating military bases in post-Soviet countries.
