According to him, the participants of the online meeting reaffirmed the unity of their positions on security issues and defense before the meeting of the Russia-NATO Council. «We are interested in a meaningful and fruitful dialogue with Russia. But our message today is that NATO will not compromise on key points of security, including the right of countries to choose their path,» he explained Stoltenberg.

The owner of the White House has clearly stated that the United States does not intend to deploy offensive strike weapons in Ukraine, but has warned of possible sanctions. In turn, Putin noted that in this case, a complete rupture of relations could follow. Vladimir Putin previously emphasized that further expansion of NATO to the east and the deployment of offensive weapons on Ukrainian territory and in countries adjacent to Russia are red lines for Moscow.
