MOSCOW, Jan 8 Olympic champion Viktor Mazin died at the age of 67, reported on the website of the Russian Weightlifting Federation. Mazin was born in 1954 in the Chita region (now the Trans-Baikal Territory), after graduating from a vocational school he worked in a mine. In 1980 Mazin became an Olympic champion in the weight category up to 60 kilograms at the Games in Moscow, established the world snatch record and Olympic record in total, and also became the champion of the USSR. In 1982 Mazin completed his sports career.
