MOSCOW, Jan 8 Russian Nikita Porshnev took second place in the sprint race at IBU Cup 4th stage in Brezno-Osrblje, Slovakia, won by Norway's Alexander Andersen (23 minutes 16.3 seconds, 0 penalties). Porshnev lagged behind the leader by 21 seconds with clean shooting at both firing lines. The third result was shown by another Russian Ilnaz Mukhamedzyanov (+26.9, 0). The results of the other Russians: 6. Vasily Tomshin (+30.3; 1), 15. Mikhail Pervushin (+1.03.1; 2), 17. Peter Paschenko (+1.07.2; 1), 22. Dmitry Ivanov (+1.12.7; 1). Later on Saturday, the women's sprint race will take place in Brezno-Osrblje.
