As part of the World Happiness Report project, Our Life Plan has compiled a rating of the best countries for retirees. When compiling it, factors such as the cost of living, average monthly salary, average annual temperature and the number of sunny days per year were taken into account.
As a result, the United Arab Emirates took the first place in the list. The list of the most attractive countries for seniors also includes Israel and Australia.
The rating took into account that the Emirates have a comfortable average annual temperature (27 degrees), a large number of sunny days a year, a high cost of living and wages. Two more countries of the Persian Gulf region entered the top five — & nbsp; Israel, Australia, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
In November 2021, the government of the United Arab Emirates updated the rules for issuing long-term residence visas to foreigners aged 55 and over.
It is also reported that favorable conditions for the elderly have been created in European countries — & nbsp; in Cyprus, Spain and Malta.
Outside Europe, research has found that & nbsp; Australia, Bahrain, Thailand and Egypt .
