MOSCOW, Jan 9 Three matches of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular championship with the participation of Riga «Dynamo» canceled due to the outbreak of coronavirus in the Latvian team, the press service of the organization told reporters. It is noted that 14 hockey players, one coach and two representatives of the club tested positive for coronavirus. The home match of Riga against the club of the same name from Minsk on January 12, as well as away games against Metallurg (Magnitogorsk) on January 15 and Avtomobilist (Yekaterinburg) on January 17 will not take place on these dates. The decision to hold these matches at a later date will be made additionally. Since the beginning of January, the KHL has already postponed several games with the participation of CSKA, Avtomobilist and Ufa's Salavat Yulaev for a similar reason. Next week, the league is to hold a meeting with all clubs to discuss the future of the championship. One of the options is a suspension with a subsequent extension.
