Previously acting Minister of Digital Development and Aerospace Industry Bagdat Musin explained that the blocking of the Internet is due to the fact that terrorist groups use means of communication to coordinate their actions. Residents of Alma-Ata, Ust-Kamenogorsk (East Kazakhstan region) report the resumption of the Internet in social networks, Atyrau (Atyrau region, west of the country). To keep the population informed about the measures taken by the state authorities to stabilize the situation, state agencies have been sending news messages by SMS since January 6 and have opened access to a limited number of sites.
