The Volga, according to some observations, flows into the Caspian Sea. And it washes the shores of Kazakhstan. At the same time, Kazakhstan and Tatarstan cannot be spilled with water. Of course, the residents of Kazan are excited by the turbulent and incomprehensible events in the friendly Central Asian republic, and some, in order to throw out their feelings, are even ready to go out into the street. Specifically, to Nursultan Nazarbayev Street.

However, you can't go out into the street with your emotions now, so they spill out on the Internet and, as in old times, in kitchens, where family disputes have not died out for several days: how it would be more correct to rename this main street for the sixth time, which has already led everyone to a dead end. When challenging options, it comes to family conflicts, but the main thing, that it is necessary to rename Nazarbayev Street, the family members agree.
Here, as they say, husband and wife are one Astana. Or is Nur-Sultan still?
Sometimes, in the heat of the moment, renamed streets are returned to their former names, but in this case, you will go crazy choosing. Our newspaper told (see «Overtaking history» A street in Kazan received the name of the long-term president of Kazakhstan «), which signs were alternately adorned here on the same houses before the street was named Nazarbayev in 2015: … Cross-Bolshaya «,» st. 3rd Transverse Bolshaya «,» st. Esperanto «,» st. Zhdanov «and again» st. Esperanto». Now, it seems, the majority insists on the exotic name «Esperanto». Nowhere in Russia is there such a street, and in Kazan it was so sonorously named in 1927 at the request of the Esperanto section at the gardening technical school. Some kind of garden head came up with it, and everyone liked it.
Plates “st. Esperanto ”six years ago, they were removed from their houses on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Nursultan Abishevich. Well, Tatarstan could have presented the then President of Kazakhstan with a tea set for six persons, or a floor lamp, or an inflatable boat … But he gave it to the street. Moreover, the executive committee of Kazan, closing his eyes, violated the provision that the streets of the city should be given the names of honored people no earlier than 10 years after their death. Less honored and still living people expressed disagreement with «Nazarbayev Street», went to protest actions and even filed a lawsuit against the city authorities, but the Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan recognized the decision of the executive committee as legal. Probably, it was not in vain that the judge retired to the deliberation room.
