& # 34; With a record dollar inflation of about seven percent, gold did not attract a mass investor in the same volume as it did before. So, the outflow of funds from ETFs, backed by gold, became the maximum in eight years in 2021 and amounted to 173 tons of gold worth $ 9.1 billion & # 34; — he noted.
According to the agency's interlocutor, the attitude towards gold in the investment environment began to change after the soft monetary policy of central banks. Makarov pointed out that in the past year, real estate and cryptocurrency were more popular than gold. However, the expert advised gold advocates to buy shares of gold mining companies.
