Russian sports couple Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov set a new world record for the sum of points scored at the European Figure Skating Championships in Tallinn. On Thursday, Tarasova and Morozov scored 236.43 points in the short and free programs. They exceeded the previous achievement, which belonged to the Chinese Sui Wenjing and Han Cong (234.84 points). However, the Russians Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov, who performed next, surpassed their compatriots (157.46) and set a world record for the sum of points for both programs (239, 82). Athletes won the European Championship.
