Ukrainians explained whether it is necessary to declare “a thousand for vaccination”

If a person does not use money within 4 months, they will automatically return to the state budget.

Ukrainians, who are required to fill out an annual declaration, should not indicate in it state assistance of 1,000 hryvnia for vaccination. After all, these funds are not income for declaring, Khronika.info reports with reference to Channel 24.

This explanation was given by the press service of the National Corruption Prevention Agency.

In The National Agency noted that to indicate the «covid thousand» as income is not needed, because this is not income for declaration purposes.

Since the funds received under the Program will be provided exclusively in non-cash form, credited to a special account, not will be taxed, then such funds are not income. Therefore, they will not need to be indicated in the declaration,
— the department explained.

Also, the NACP reminded that citizens will be able to receive financial assistance from the state in the amount of 1,000 hryvnia. However, the vaccinated will receive these funds not in cash, but as a digital voucher that can only be spent on a certain list of services and goods.

In addition, if a person does not use them for 4 months, they will automatically return to the state budget.

What can the money be spent on

The money can be spent within four months after admission only in certain areas:

  • buy a gym membership,
  • go to the cinema, theater, museum, concert or art exhibition,
  • buy books and tickets for traveling around Ukraine (railway and planes).

Ukrainians over the age of 60 will be able to spend a thousand for vaccinations for social needs, in particular, for the purchase of medicines.
