TASHKENT, Jan 14 Compulsory rapid tests for coronavirus are reintroduced at airports in Uzbekistan from 15 January due to the detection of the omicron strain in the country, the press service of Uzbekistan airports said on Friday. The cost of the study, the result of which will be ready within 15 minutes, will be 5 dollars in the equivalent of the national currency — sum. If an infection is detected, the passenger will be sent to isolation without fail, the press service added. Express testing is being introduced in the republic for the third time. the border must do a PCR test 48 hours before departure instead of the previous deadline of 72 hours. On Sunday, the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan announced that the first case of infection with the Omicron coronavirus strain was detected in the country.
