The American film company Orion Television (a subsidiary of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer) has acquired the rights to adapt the film The Fool by Russian director Yuri Bykov as an English-language TV series. Variety writes about it.

The series based on the film about a plumber trying to overcome the corruption system and save the residents of the house, which is about to collapse, was called Collapse («collapse», » fall», «destruction»).
Among the producers are Alex Reznik and Lawrence Bender, who have already worked with Bykov's material. They produced the series «Seven Seconds» based on the movie «Major». The producers of the American series will also be Vlad Ryashin and Vyacheslav Murugov.
