Ambulance MOSCOW, Jan 18 Poet Anatoly Naiman hospitalized with a stroke — the misfortune happened in Monday, January 17, during a presentation at a conference at the Higher School of Economics, his daughter Anna Narinskaya said on her Facebook. «Yesterday, when Anatoly Genrikhovich Naiman spoke about Mandelstam at a conference at the Higher School of Economics, he suffered a massive stroke. He managed to say just a few sentences. We are now transferring him from one intensive care unit to another,» Narinskaya writes on the social network. According to her, «forecasts are disappointing.» Narinskaya also expressed the hope that «those who treat him well — a person, a poet, an author — will think about him now.» Anatoly Naiman is a Russian poet, translator, essayist, prose writer and memoirist. He was a co-author of Anna Akhmatova on the translations of Giacomo Leopardi and literary secretary, wrote the book «Stories about Anna Akhmatova». He also wrote a collection of poems «Sentimental March» and poems for the songs of the children's film «The Amazing Boy», which were performed by Alla Pugacheva.
