The interlocutors noted the commonality of approaches of Ukraine and Germany to the development of cooperation in the energy sector, in particular, regarding the «green» transformation and renewable energy sources. It was noted that the practical implementation of common priorities will be facilitated by the opening by Germany in Kiev of an office for the implementation of Ukrainian-German projects in hydrogen energy,» the press service said. The Russian Federation has repeatedly called to stop mentioning Nord Stream 2 in the context of any politicization, since this is a commercial project, it is beneficial to both Russia and the European Union. In addition, at the meeting, the parties noted the need for joint implementation of concrete steps to strengthen the energy security of Ukraine, among other things, guaranteeing long-term gas transit through Ukrainian territory. Zelensky and Burbock also discussed European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.
