"Saturnino de la Fuente Garcia died at home, he was 112 years and 341 days old", the statement said.
The man entered the Guinness Book of Records on September 10, 2021, at that time he was 112 years and 211 days old. Saturnino de la Fuente was born in León on February 11, 1909. During his lifetime, the man recalled that due to his small height (150 cm), he was not drafted into the army during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), then he opened his own shoe business and began making shoes for soldiers. In his free time, he played football and supported the team of his native city, Cultural Leones. Saturnino de la Fuenta and his wife had seven daughters, as well as 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
