Double was scored by Alexander Barkov (26th and 48th minutes), and goals were also scored by Carter Verhege (29), Anthony Duclair (56), Sam Bennett (57) and Owen Tippett (59). Panthers goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky saved 40 shots and held the first “dry” match of the season. His teammate striker Maxim Mamin scored an assist.
